Nishijima Construction Co., Ltd., which was founded 400 hundred years ago in Japan, is consisted with a group of master carpenters, who continues to cherish the craftsmanship and spirit passed down over the long history of Japan.
We are the meisters who have worked not only for the restoration work of Japan’s national treasure, Himeji Castle, but also used our highly trained skills and design abilities to restore the traditional and historic Japanese architectures, as well as religious structures, which was highly evaluated from the people around the world. The head of our company is Yasuhisa Nishijima, known by the art name Houun, the 32nd generation inheritor of the 400-year-old Daito school tradition.
His achievements are remarkable.
He has traveled across Europe—including France, the UK, Italy, Germany— as well as China and the US, observing and experiencing various cultures to apply these insights to traditional Japanese architecture, continuously refining his skills day and night.
